One file.
A clear way forward.

Keep your original safe. We work toward a playable result, and tell you when the recovery is incomplete or unsuccessful.

  1. Choose your video

Start with the damaged MP4 or MOV. Some recordings will also need a healthy reference made with the same recording settings.

  2. Pay for the attempt

Review the one-time fee and acknowledge the risk. Every repair attempt starts after payment is confirmed.

  3. Check what came back

Review a watermarked sample after repair. A result may be recovered, partial or unsuccessful. Download the full recovered result without a watermark.

What this repair
can recover.

MendVid is designed for recordings that were interrupted or saved as a file that no longer opens. What can be recovered depends on the data that remains.

Understand a missing moov atom

Interrupted MP4 & MOV recordings

A missing or damaged container index can leave recorded media unreadable. Rebuilding it may help when usable media data remains.

A matching reference, when needed

A healthy short clip from the same device or app, using the same settings, can provide information the damaged file is missing.

A result with its limits visible

Missing audio, a shortened recording or uncertain timing is reported as partial recovery. Passing checks does not prove the entire original recording was recovered.

Missing source data cannot be recreated. Codec and recording support varies. Some recovery paths re-encode video; repair is not always lossless.

One attempt.
One upfront price.

No subscription. A required matching reference stays on the same paid job.

Start a repair

You pay for the repair attempt, not guaranteed recovery. No refund if recovery is unsuccessful.

Before you begin.

Can every damaged video be repaired?

No. The remaining media, container damage, codec and recording settings determine which recovery paths are possible. Video or audio that was never written, overwritten or physically lost cannot be recovered by rebuilding an index.

Can I see a result before I pay?

Every repair attempt and result preview comes after confirmed payment. Before payment, you can select a file and review the price and risks. No repair or result preview takes place.

What happens if the repair fails?

The fee buys an attempt, not guaranteed recovery, and is not refunded if recovery fails. Keep your original recording and review the next step on the unsuccessful result page.

Will I need another video as a reference?

Possibly. If the damaged file does not contain enough recording information, a healthy reference with matching device or app settings may be needed. Adding one to the same paid job does not require another payment.

Is this a video quality enhancer?

No. The goal is to recover readable media from a damaged recording, not sharpen blurry footage or generate new detail. Some paths may re-encode video and cannot be described as lossless.

Does this work with OBS recordings?

OBS is one recording scenario, not the limit of MendVid’s audience. Ordinary MP4/MOV and OBS Hybrid formats behave differently. Read the OBS recording guide before choosing a recovery path.
